WHAT WAS I THINKING?

So over the weekend you might have heard my adventures. Not that I'm proud of these moments. I'm an open book. My boss also thinks of my life as a sitcom, so I share.

Since becoming single in a new city, getting new friends you sometimes do stupid things. Stay out too late, act like you did in college or something like that. Some of these moments you'd like to erase and some are just fun to talk about.

Am I a little embarrassed? Heck yes! Acting like most people do in college is not what I do I my everyday life. Heck...even when I was in college I didn't do this stuff. I was such a good girl! I never went and drank. I worked 3 jobs and went to school full time.

Funny thing is, I have this stupid moment in life and I try to laugh at myself. I'm great at self deprecation. So before you start thinking I'm some heathen and act like a freak show every weekend. Think again. And don't pass judgement. I mean the story from this morning is the 1st and probably last you'll hear of that nature.

Haven't you ever had a stupid moment in life where you think "What was I thinking?"

I heard your broadcast this morning and was both horrified and delighted. I have to know if the guy calls!!!
I told my sister and now she's going to listen to your show too.
We love you Erin!!

Sure, I've had those "what the hell was I thinking" moments, but long before I turned 30. Also, one question...I only caught part of the story this morning but was wondering, are you using these guys real names? You might want to change the name to protect the "innocent".

Erin,

I heard your "debacle" this morning. Nothing to worry about - I don't think you did anything wrong. You're single, attractive and also smart. Don't feel like you made a mistake. Instead, chalk it up as one of those moments you'll never forget and maybe learn from it. Seriously, stop freaking out about it.

Erin,
I was listening to the show with my sixteen year old who's eyes were wide and jaw was dropped. His comment was, "I thought people stopped doing that after college."
Then he proceeded to answer the question of what each base was. OK, I am 41 and thought I understood some things...now I realize how much times change things. The "bowling" thing really caught me off guard, but not him. I will admit that I laughed pretty hard after he got out of the car to head to class, but I can't even imagine what the topic of discussion in his first period class was. To top it off, he came home and proceeded to show me the KTI website so I could see what you looked like. I cruise this site quite often but humored him anyway. He did comment that you "are hot". I agreed. If this guy doesn't call you back it is his loss. That coming from the mouths of a 16 year old and his old man.
Take care and keep up the fun!

Thanks for the love and for not ripping me apart! I mean that!!!

We did change guy's name!! No worries there!

I admit that me acting like a college kid is not what I should do or what I typically do.

This morning you might've heard me talking about how when most people were in college, dating, and act like idiots..I was in a relationship, starting my career, getting married, and being the mature one. Now that I'm divorced the rules have changed and most of the guys are off and married. Bad timing on my part!!!

Funny thing is, I know for a fact there a lot of people that do much worse than I do. They sleeep around with random people. I know 45 year old women that have booty calls!!! I don't do that not will I...not my style!!!

If there happens to be anymore developments...I'll fill you in!! BUT....Let's not hold our breath!

Erin,
No, I don't think we've ever met. But, stop feeling like a puppy with its tail between its legs. We've all (well, a lot of us) done what you did. Don't regret it. God knows I've had my fair share of hookups and I don't regret a single one. Well, wait a second, ... ;-)

Erin,

I am familiar with the terms and meanings of the bases, but have never heard of "bowling", and am curious what that means. I enjoyed hearing of your escapades on the your Monday show. As a long-time KTI fan, I have enjoyed the Reitman and Mueller show. However, the new show with you, Matthew and AJ is a refreshing change. Keep up the good work.

Quit saying "heck" and say what you really mean! Quit saying things that make you sound like "no thanks" and start saying things that say "yes!yes!yes!"! Just hope you run into that guy again and let him know his new name is "Richard"! And let everyone know that. Good luck this weekend! Anonymous
